Feeling at a loss with national-level events, I felt compelled to help out in my own community: “Millions of families worldwide are living as refugees, uprooted by war, persecution or natural disaster. A few of these families are finding a new home in Lane County, thanks to a refugee placement program that is spearheaded by a local community task force and coordinated by Catholic Community Services of Lane County.”
The RRCLC needed their own logo and independent website. For the logo, we landed on some origami cranes, symbolizing hope in crisis. Cranes are also migratory birds.
Incidentally, I also did the documentary photography of Eugene human rights protests.
