CLUB SALSA

It's 1994, and I'm working as a junior designer in an ad agency. I read an article in WIRED magazine about the worldwide web, and I am immediately interested. I tell the creative director, and he says OK, not knowing exactly what I'm talking about. Not a year later we have a client wanting to push the boundaries of the new medium, and before I know it I'm working with comic book legend Dave McKean to create a serialized drama that unfolds over the course of the next year. It was the hardenst year of my career in some ways. I was the designer, the coder, and the project manager. No-one else had any understanding of the medium, and I was winging it as I went. 30 years later, and I still love this project. It was a trial by fire, and I came out knowing a lot more than when I started.
